News B Y PRESSUP PETE The 1993 season for

the Wanganui MotorsTuroa Tumblers Gymnastic Club is now two weeks old and some gymnasts are now realizing why they should have been stretching muscles during the Christmas break! Sessions are going pretty well but there is still room for more kids. The club is going to hold three open days starting 2 March in the Ruapehu College gymnasium. Five, six and seven year olds start at 3.30pm. Eight year olds and over start at 5pm. This year we are concentrating on the Kiwi Gym Fun style of coaching so the emphasis is on a lot of fun aiid not so much on technical excellence. Come along and enjoy gym for three weeks under no obligations. Be wamed though! You may not want to stop there. Bring Mum and Dad too. We welcome four new members to the competition squad for this season. They are Krystal Abbott (from Waiouru) Carolyn Mastrovich

(from National Park) George Williams (from Oruataha) and Brad Hays (from Ohakune). The competition squad of 23 gymnasts are training three nights a week at the momeut doing conditioning work and starting to learn routines for this year's competitions. The first tournament is in Ohakune on 1 and 2 May. This year's quiz night is Friday 23 April. Keep it free. The quizmaster has a few surprises for the night. Watch out for the advertisements in the Bulletin closer to the night.
