John Punch, grandson of John Francis Punch who was one of the original purchasers of Raetihi sections, prepares to bid for that section in the re-enactment of the 1893 auction. Mr Punch lives in Raetihi, 'less than 100 yards' from where he was born. Also pictured are many other long-time Raetihi residents.
