Raetihi Centennial Celebration Programme January 23-24-25 1993 Saturdav 23 Januarv 12.30pm Ulysses Motorcycle Club leaves Ohakune. I .00pm Maori Challenge to Club at the Raetihi Marae. Club to proceed through town, then park in Atwood's garage. 2.00pm Official Party arrives by horse-drawn coach. 2.05pm Official speeches. 2. 1 5pm Maori Culture Group Programme. 3.15pm Mock Auction of some of the original 82 quarteracre town sections. 3.45pm Chopping demonstration by local axemen. Afternoon teas available at various venues in town. Waimarino Museum open. 7.30pm Assemble at Raetihi School Hall for evening programme organised by theRaetihi Fire Brigade. Sundav 24 Januarv I I .00am Combined Church Service on Raetihi Showground Grandstand. Golf Tournament at Makaranui. 12.30pm Lunch at Showgrounds, BYO. 1.00pm Family Fun Sports Day at Showgrounds, many novelty events. Demonstrations: Blade shearing, wood chopping, rodeo mechanical bull, fire brigade, dog trials, Waimarino Youth and Fitness Trust, Touch Rugby competition, Pig Hunting Competition. Weigh-in at 3.00pm, mini-bikes for children, Light refreshments available at grounds, haangi and barbecue for evening meal - BYO meat.
