Wishes from Rangataua
• It was with great interest that I recently read the so-called wish list by the Waimarino Community board. Strangely it seems that board members have just forgotten that there are places called Rangataua and Karioi which also have people who pay rates. How many board members can honestly say they have bothered to have contact with ratepayers in these areas on a person-to-person basis and that does not mean ringing up on the
telephone, it means go and look. I have been informed that extensive work is to be done in Rangataua, let us hope this is just not words again, after all Rangataua is class A residential and is therefore entitled to the same facilities as other towns in the Ruapehu District, a few metres of tarseal to help eliminate the dust in the summer and mud in winter would be appreciated as well.
