Power use drops
A drop in unit saies during November was disappointing, King Country Energy general manager Peter Till told the December board meeting. The number of units handled in November fell by 8.44 per cent overall, dragging the year to date figure into the red as well, with a 1.38 per cent drop on the previous year's total at the same time. The board estimated it
would handle some 96,550,103 units for the period JanuaryNovember. In contrast hydro generation was up in November, after a fall in October. The Kuratau power station generated 10.88 per cent more power in November, compared with the 13 year average, while Piriaka generated 20.65 per cent more on the same basis.
