Ohakune Library will close on Thursday 24 December 1992 at 5.00pm and re-open at 12.00 noon on Tuesday 29 December to Thursday 31 December 1992. Raetihi Library wili ciose on Thursday 24 December 1992 at 4.00pm and re-open at 10.00am on Tuesday 29 December to Thursday 31 December 1992. Full services will resume on Tuesday 5 January 1993. SIX MONTHLY PENALTY OUTSTANDING RATES The Public are advised that a six monthly penalty of 10% will be added to all rates, which were arrears as at 1 July 1992, and remain outstanding on 1 January 1993. -1 DISTRICT PLAN REVIEW DISCUSSION DOCUMENT Copies of the public discussion document prepared as part of the District Plan review are now available. This document has been circulated to every household in the District. If you have not received your copy or you require additional copies, these can be obtained from the Ruapehu District Council Offices and Service Centres, Public Libraries or by telephoning Jeff Page or Jane Whyte on (07) 895 8188. Submissions on this document close 5 February 1993. Please read the document and make a submission to ensure your voice counts in the review of the Ruapehu District Plan. SPECIAL ORDER: TAUMARUNUI SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT LOAN 1992 - $1,100,000 Public notice is hereby given that at its meeting held on 27 November 1992 the Council resolved by way of Special Order pursuant to Section 716B of the Local Government Act 1974 to raise the above loan. The Special Order will be submitted for a confirming resolution at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Huia Street, Taumarunui on Friday 15 January 1993 commencing at 1.00pm. The purport of the Special Order resolution is to raise and make provision for repayment of the loan which is to upgrade the Hikumutu Sewage Treatment Plant and the construction of associated wetland lagoons. The cost of the upgrading work to be met by the ratepayers whose properties are connected to or capable of being connected to the Taumarunui Sewage Reticulation System. Copies of the resolution to be confirmed are deposited at Council Offices and Libraries in Taumarunui, Ohakune and Raetihi and are open for inspection by the public during the normal opening hours of those Offices and Libraries. Attention is drawn to Section 34A of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 which provided that not less than 15% of the Ratepayers of the District may demand under their signature, giving their name and address with sufficient particularity to enable the person to be identified as a Ratepayer of the District, that a poll be taken on the proposal.
