Horse on film
A famous movie and TV star with a* difference has recently been in Rangataua for the filming of a new television series. The well-known 'actor' is none other than a black staUion, one of the lead players in the upcoming series of "The Adventures of the Black Stallion". Filming in the area began last Monday and continued through until Friday, despite the dismal weather.
Segments of the 26episode . series were filmed around Auckland and Waiouru before the 27-strong crew, plus horses, headed out to Graeme Fraser's farm on Mangateitei Rd to complete shooting of the final episode. The series, starring Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney, will be shown in Canada and the United States before airing in 37 other countries.
