Power blurb
• I doubt that any ordinary consumer will feel elated by the patent joy expressed in the 'Power Lines' blurb from King Country Energy; that we "enjoy the lowest domestic tariffs in the country," and that "other large power boards are having discussions with foreign investors behind closed doors." Are those the sorts of things included in what our commentators mean when they skite and brag
about all ihings 'kiwi'? It seems to me that it only means one more addition to the drain on overseas earnings gained predominantly by primary producers. It's as if they and certain others, are telling us how marvellous it would be to pay rent all our lives instead of owning our own homes. Is that a recent, remarkably 'kiwi' proposition that now, in order to be up-to-date, I, a septuagenarian, am expected to believe?
