• The proprietor of the Rendezvous Dairy in Goldfmch Street Ohakune was punched in the mouth after he disturbed two offenders burgling his shop at about 2am on Wednesday morning. Police used a tracker dog to locate one of the offenders and, following a search warrant, a quanity of goods stolen from the shop were found. A 25 year old Ohakune man is to appear in the Ohakune District Court this week. • A chalet in Lee St Ohakune was burgled some time last week. The offenders threw a rock through the kitchen window to gain entry. Police are still waiting on the owners to provide information on what was stolen. • Police were called to a fight outside the Raetihi Hotel at 12.30am on Thursday night. Police separated the fighters and offered advice on resolving conflicts without violence. No charges were laid. • Berry's Bookshop in Ohakune was broken into on Friday night - Saturday morning. Thieves smashed a front window and stole three guitars. Police are continuing with their enquiries.
