Double Olympic gold medal winning skier Patrick Cooper was greeted with a warm welcome by members of his home club, Turoa Alpine Ski Club, last Thursday evening, along with other well wishers including his previous employer, Paul Scarf of the Powderhorn. Patrick was presented with a certificate of life membership of TASCI by club captain George Drayton (at left), and the New Zealand Ski Association President's Prize for outstanding effort and achievement which was presented by association representative Miles Davidson (at right). Also pictured is the New Zealand Disabled Ski Team manager, Janine Elliot. Patrick was later presented with a certificate of appreciation from the Ruapehu District Council by mayor Garrick Workman.
