Waimarino pony club
The club held its dressage and gamblers on 31 October and 1 November in brilliant weather. Both days were well attended with riders from all over
the District attending with the following results: Class 1; 1st Claire Hyland on Pania, 2nd Shelly Gotlieb on Hobo, 3rd Briar McGregor on Chauton Saus, 3rd Bright Plowman on Little Lucifer, 4 equal Sara Batley on Stepout and Nicola Smith on Pepper. Class 2; 1 st Victoria Duigan on Clover Crest, 2nd Sally Williams on Nikita, 3rd Marni McGregor on Sharebroker, 4th equal Lisa Robison on Dolly and Marni Wenn on Stardust. Adult Section, 1st Christine Reynolds on Tasy, 2nd Sandy Ripo on Simply Red, 3rd Jacky Henderson on Henry Higgins. Class 3; 1st Joy Savage on Flugal Mawn, 2nd Christine Reynolds on My Warrior, 3rd Evelyn Cooper on Ascot, 4th Kerri Stratford on Dejavu. Class 4; 1st Bridget Plauman on Little Lucifer, 2nd equal Shelly Gotlieb on Hobo and Marni McGregor on Sharebroker, 3rd equal Kate Peterson on Misty Girl and Nicola Smith on Sgt Major, 4th
Nicola Smith on Pepper. Class 5; 1st Rachel Gotlieb on Frosty, 2nd Sally Williams on Nikita, 3rd Victoria Duigan on Glover Crest, 4th Marni Wenn on Stardust. Class 6; 1st Christine Reynolds on My Warrior, 2nd Joy Savage on Flugal Kommandent, 3rd equal Evelyn Cooper on Ascot and Joy Savage on Flugal Mawn. The Waimarino cups were eligible to Waimarino pony club members only and were awarded to the following: 12 and under; Marni McGregor and Shelly Gotlieb. 13-15 years; Rachel Gotlieb. 16-20 years; Melanie Mitchel.
