A sign of things to come at last Friday's Ruapehu District Council meeting: During discussion on the council's committee structure Cr Bob Peck asked about who was to be on which committee. His longtime sparring partner John Compton quipped "doesn't it depend on where you are in the peck-ing order?" Groan!
