John Eades and Fr Bernie Vella won the Howell Movement at bridge on Wednesday 14 October with a score of 61.20 %, just 0.1% ahead of Tephany Bennett and Gordon Mottram who scored 61.10%. Third place went to Mark Hays and Pauline
Le Noel with 54.30% In fourth place on 53.30% were Ron Frew and Brian Eades who were actually the nights winners prior to handicapping. In fifth place were Bill Te Karu and Jenny Mottram on 53.10% and sixth place went to Betty Hammond and Rita Kaiwhare who finished with 47.35%.
