Raetihi Schoolboy rugby prizegiving

The annual prizegiving was held on Thursday 8 October with Bruce Hansen the Wanganui rep and All Black trialist as the guest speaker. All boys received at-

tainment certificates from their coaches. The following prizes were presented: Midgets coached by Colin Hammond; Most improved, Jamie Renata; Best and fairest, Brad Scarrow; Player of the year, Nicola Leary; Juniors coached by Kevin Dobbs; Most improved, Sam Arahanga; Best and fairest, Sean

Dobbs; Player of the year, Damion Manahi. Intermediates coached by Merv Williams. Most improved, Tony Martin; Best and fairest, Kerin McDonough; Player of the year, Kerin McDonough. Seniors coached by Charles Kui. Most improved, Richard Ormond; Best and fairest, Jamie Morrissey; Player of the year, Seamus Manson. The McDonough cup for the most conscientious and diligent player went to Stuart Hammond. Club players selected for the Raftgitikei reps were Tamehana Bishop, Jamie Morrissey, Stephen Hawira and Cameron Ross. Our thanks go to John Dempsey, Marie and Gary Allerby, Charles Kui, the Hawira family, Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club and the Ruapehu Hotel for their support. Waimarino Darts Doubles were played on 12 Oct. Winning pairs with 6 games each: Stephen Wallace and Craig Windle; Tibby Wallace and Kevin Webb. Runners up: Hira Parata and David Blick; Kaylene Crossan and Arvell Wallace. Highest start: Glenn Wallace and Kevin Webb, 160 . Glenn won

the play off. Highest score: Arvell Wallace, 180. Highest finish: Greg Windle.
