by David of the RIC The Waimarino Smallbore Club held their annual prize giving on 27 September, the day opening with a championship shoot made up of a 20 and a 10-shot match. Results: Club Champion K Summerhays with 396.15; runner-up M Maru with 39.1.10; Third B McGinnis with 390.70; Master grade Lynette: Maru; A grade K

Summerhays; B grade T Donaldson; C grade Donna McGrath; 1st 100 badges Bob Evans and Michael Maru; Most improved - Karl Heinold Memorial Trophy Donna McGrath; Service to the club Bob McGinnis. The Club continues the season into their outdoor 50 and 100 metre firing ranges. Special time is being taken this year to create a good outdoor range to promote the sport in the area over the summer.
