No great surprises in the north-south direction at bridge on Wednesday 7 October. Pauline Lc Noel and Lauretta Eades continued with the consistent form they've shown all year to finish first with 63.60%. In second place with a very good score of 56.10% were Rita Kaiwhare and Betty Hammond. Colin Cox and Elaine Goldfinch caused an upset in the east-west direction to blitz the opposition with 64.73% which was the top score for the evening. Jenny Mottram and Bill Te Karu, another pair who have shown consistent form right throughout the year, finished Second with 51.85%.
