Message from Mayor Garrick Workman

Thank you Ruapehu for returning me as Mayor for the new term of Council. The fact I was reelected unopposed does not mean in any way there will be a lesser commitment on my part to the Mayoralty or any change in leadership style. I am mindful of the promise I made three years ago to lead fairly and impartially in an open and honest manner. I look forward to leading the newly elected 'Team' on that basis and will continue to work hard doing my best for you all, as your Mayor in future.
