No go spring ball
Ohakune' s first Spring Ball has been cancelled due to a lack of support. It is believed only a few of the three hundred $80 tickets had been sold just days before the ball was to be held on Sunday. Ball organiscrs said that a lack of publicity was the main cause of the cancellation. The ball was to be held in a marquee at the Ohakune carrot reserve. It is hoped the event will go ahead next year.
