Waimarino hosts Kina Country aolfers
The Waimarino golf club hosted the 1992 King Country Championship. The event was sponsored by Weddle Crown. The entire event went through in grand fashion with 120 players competing as teams and as individuals. Results: 72 hole team gross winner, Waitomo with 1,947 points, runner-up, Pio Pio Aria, 1,982; 72 hole nett winner, Waimarino B 1 ,764, they also won the Blyth Putter, runnersup, Waimarino A, 1 ,772; Munro plate 72 hole nett, winner Taranui, 1,791. The Combined ladies and mens team for the Pittams Trophy was won by Waimarino. The individual Club prizes sponsored by Weddle Crown were as follows: Mens best
