Raetihi pony club
The Raetihi Branch of the Waimarino pony club is to hold its opening rally on Saturday 17 October l-4pm at the Raetihi Showgrounds. The rally is open to all new members the only requirements being a hard hard. A mounted rally will be from 10.303.30pm but if the weather is unsuitable it will be unmounted from l-3pm. The opening of the season is much later than usual because of the very wet weather. There has been an unmounted rally
and two quiz evenings. The subscriptions now due remain the same as the previous season at $30 for the first member of a family, $7 for the second or a maximum of $40 per family. Last Wednesday Branch members attended a working-bee to repair and build new jumps on the Club's Cross-Country course in preparation for the waterways Gamblers Cross-Country event to be held on 1 November. Saturday 31 October is Waimarino Dressage Day. Other events coming up are: Waimarino Games Day at Raetihi
Showgrounds, 28 November; Waimarino Gymkhana, at Ohakune, 3 December; Raetihi Camp, sometime in January with a venue to be decided.
