Waiouru will soon be losing its pharmacist. Bruce Wilde will be leaving the Waiouru Pharmacy in two weeks time to take up the a position in Wanganui. Although this will leave Waiouru without a chemist the pharmacy will not close. "There's no suggestion of the shop closing", said Mr Wilde.
"There may be problems from time to time with obtaining a qualified chemist but the worst thing I anticipate would be the shop being closed for a moming or afternoon while a relief chemist is transported to Waiouru." Bruce Wilde says he is not looking forward tp leaving Waiouru. "I've enjoyed my time in Waiouru. It is a nice
little community and the customers have been nice to get to know. Working here has suited my disposition." "I have chosen to leave for economic reasons. I needed to ensure my job security." Mr Wilde says his biggest regret will be leaving behind his workmates. "I've had a good staff. We've really enjoyed working together."
