• The Powderhorn ski shop's glass front doors were smashed through on Friday night and five mountain bikes, a snowboard and a pair of skis were taken. All the goods except two mountain bikes were later found stashed underneath a nearby licensed premises. Police Constable Wayne Streeter said they are following an avenue of enquiry. • A 21-year old man was arrested on Saturday afternoon following several behavioural offences outside the New World supermarket in Ohakune. • The Waimarino Wine shop in Ohakune was broken into early Sunday morning. Thieves smashed through the glass front doors and stole 14 bottles of spirits worth $486. • A 14-year old boy faces youth aid action after he was found driving a stolen tractor down Seddon Street, Raetihi at midnight Saturday. The boy stole the tractor from near the Barrett and Taura Transport depot after having an argument with his mother, Ohakune Constable Greg Phillips said. • A young man was arrested for unlawful taking after two youths were caught breaking into a number of cars outside the Waimarino Club in Raetihi on Friday night. Police are continuing their enquiries.
