Great skiing (at last)!

At last there was good weather Saturday and Sunday on Ruapehu for thousands to enjoy the huge amounts of snow covering the slopes of Whakapapa and Turoa. About 2800 people visited Turoa on Saturday and about 2000 on Sunday while Whakapapa was visited by 9000 and 10,000. Magnificent weather greeted people at Whakapapa to witness the annual fireworks display. It was deemed the best weekend in almost three months for the fields.
