During the proposed period of closure emergency traffic will be let through as soon as possible. Date of Closure: Saturday 12 September 1992 SCHEDULE OF ROADS TO BE CLOSED: 1 Ongarue Back Road from Okahukura to Ongarue, Ngakonui-Ongarue Road from Ongarue to Taringamotu-Otamakahi (Stewarts Road), from 8.15am to 11.30am. 2 Raurimu-Kaitieke Road from Raurimu to Mangahoe Road, from 10.45am to 1.30pm. 3 Kawautahi Road from Oio Road to T. Gainey's residence, from 11.15am to 1.30pm. 4 Opotiki Road, Ararimu East Road, Otunui North Road, Kururau Road from Otunui North Road to Opetea (River) Road, from 1.00pm to 4.30pm. 5 Roto Road, Huia Road, from 2.20pm to 5.00pm. 6 Ohura North Road, Waikaka Road, Mangakahikatea Road, Ohura-Mokau Road from Mangakahikatea Road to Mangapapa Road, Mangapapa Road, from 2.45pm to 6.30pm. 7 Okahukura Saddle Road, from 4.00pm to 6.30pm. ANNUAL PLAN FOR YEAR COMMENCING 1 JULY 1993 The Council is now starting the process of compiling next year's Plan. The first part of the process is the calling of public submissions to Community Boards and the Taumarunui Ward Committee on the need for works and projects (and the funding of them) within their respective wards and the Boards finalisation of submissions to the Council on the issues raised. Submissions are now invited from the public on these issues. Without limiting the scope of submissions they could be made on: ★ The need for improved services ★ The need for new projects or works ★ The services Council should or should not provide. Submissions will initially be considered by the appropriate Community Board unless they relate to an issue which affects the District as a whole in which case they will be considered by the District Council. Every person or organisation making a submission will have the opportunity to present it at a meeting if they wish to do so. Submissions may be made on the standard form provided at Council offices and Customer Service Centres or in the Submissioner's own format. An indication should be given as to whether it is desired to personally present the submission to the Community Board or Council as the case may be. Submissions will be received up to the close of business on Friday 16 October 1992 and should be marked "Submission 1993/94 Annual Plan". All submissions received will be promptly acknowledged.
