Raetihi Centenary

Attendance was disappointing at a meeting recently to discuss the upcoming centenary of Raetihi. Convenor Colin Webb would like several more people to attend the next meeting on 10 September. He hopes there will be no snow to keep people at home. A decision was made by the eight people present to hold the main celebration during Anniversary weekend- 23

to 25 January 1993. Harry Brown had given the matter a great deal of thought and has several suggestions but no final decisions will be made until 10 Sept. Clubs and associations are urged to send a representative to the meeting so preparations can begin. "It could be a very exciting weekend if Raetihi people get behind the idea and help with some organisation," said Mr Webb.
