Waimarino pitches in for SI
. Peter Barrett, Rhett Cranston, Ross Jenkins, Richard Charmichael and hay stack helper Richard Charmichael junior pictured with two truckloads of Waimarino hay bound for South Island farmers struck by winter's fury. Federated Farmers representative John McCarthy said it was due to the generosity of local farmers and the trucking firms, who donated time and money, that the 1100 bales could be sent last week. Those who would like to make a donation to the cause are asked to contact Alf Alabaster, Middle Rd, Raetihi.
