A re-do of roses in Raetihi

Roses in Raetihi Cemetery are to be relocated to one bed because of problems maintaining them as they are laid out at present. The roses are planted one to each plot, and because mechanical and spray methods of weeding can't be used, maintenance is time consuming and expensive. With one large bed of roses established in the cemetery, close to the fence, a better show can be made aqd easier maintenance allowed, the Waimarino Community Board was told at their last meeting. The Board agreed that the local garden club would be approached to ask if they were willing to help in the work.
