\ KING COUNTRY/ \ ENERGY / ▼ KING COUNTRY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD TRADING AS KING COUNTRY ENERGY RETAIL ELECTRICITY TARIFF SCHEPULE EFFECTIVE 1 OCTOBER 1992

Price and charges shown in this Tariff Schedule include Goods and Services Tax at the rate of twelve and a half percent. Accounts rendered in accordance with this schedule are subject to a discount of 1 0% if paid on or before the due date shown on the account and specified in the Board's Standard Terms and Conditions of Electricity Supply at the discretion of the General Manager. Annual Pavment Accounts will attract a further 1 .5% discount if paid for one year in advance. The estimated invoice will be based on the previous years consumption. At the end of the year the amount estimated and used will be tabulated and a final invoice computed assuming an even consumption over the 12 months and allowing for any tariff movements that may have occurred in the 12 month period. A copy of the computation will be supplied to the customer. Connection Charoes A charge of $50 per transaction is payable by any customer requesting a new connection or moving into an existing installation. This covers the cost of the special reading required, setting up the contract for supply etc. Domestic (1) Private self contained homes, restricted to the use of electric power by commonly accepted domestic orientated appliances. Domestic thermal water heating installations shall comply with NZS 4603 and the water heating cylinders shall comply with the requirements of NZS 4602. The supply of electricity to Domestic Water heating installations and spa pool heating elements shall, at the discretion of the Board, be restricted to off peak times as determined from time to time by the Board's General Manager. Installations with uncontrolled water heaters are supplied at Non Domestic rates. Option (1.1) General Supply Charge 55.61 cents per day. First 10 units per day at 8.17 cents per kilowatt hour. All units in excess of 10 per day at 6.55 cents per kilowatt hour. Option (1 .4) Pre Pav Meters Supply charge 64.66 cents per day. All units at 8.17 cents per kilowatt hour. NON DOMESTIC (2) 2 General For installations not shown elsewhere in this schedule, eg business premises, chartered clubs, club living accommodation lodges, staff living accommodation, motels, offices, boarding houses, workshops, schools, halls, clubrooms, farms, construction sites etc including an aggregate installed motor capacity not exceeding 100 kilowatts. When a customer is metered on a central metering board at more than one tariff rate the customer may apply to have only one supply charge applied to that customer for that point of supply. Option (2.11 General Supply Charge 55.61 cents per day. All units 13.06 cents per kilowatt hour.

Option (2.2) Bulk Supply Applies to large installations. $5.00 per calendar month per kilovoltampere of capacity. The capacity will be determined by considering - (a) The mains fuse size required to feed the installation. (b) The customers appliances and the usage of them. (c) Motor starting requirements. (d) Mains size and voltage drop. (e) Any'other relevant factors. This will be reviewed annually on 30 September 1992. Customers should note that this charge will be the same every month quite independently of usage. Customers with varying loads may prefer Option (2.1). Units used from 7am to 9pm weekdays 10.26 cents per kilowatt hour. Units used at other times 5.42 cents per kilowatt hour. Option (2.3) Unmetered Load This option applies to fixed wired load which draws afixed amount of electricity. Rates as for Option (2.1 ) Option (2.4) Pre Pay Meters - Energy Only All units at 35 cents per kilowatt hour. OFF PEAK RATES (3) Available with any of the preceding Domestic or Non-Domestic rates for any load deemed suitable by the Boards General Manager for interrupted supply. These loads shall be fixed wired ie not capable of being unplugged, to the satisfaction of the Boards Engineer. If these rates are used without any of the preceding Domestic or Non Domestic General rates a supply charge of 55.61 cents per day shall be made. Option (3.1) Short Intefruption This is likely to suffer a maximum of two two-hour cuts in any 24 hour period. All units at 5.42 cents per kilowatt hour. Option (3.2) Niaht Rate with Afternoon Boost Supply is available from 1 .30pm to 4.30pm and 1 1 pm to 7am the following morning. 4.06 cents per kilowatt hour. Option (2.3) Niqht Rate Supply is available from 1 1 pm to 7am the following morning. 3.23 cents per kilowatt hour. MOUNTAIN INSTALLATION (4) Applies to all installations situated in excess of 1 300 metres above sea level. Supply Charge 101.48 cents per day Units at the rate which would otherwise be applicable. RPFCIAL RATES The Board reserves the right to apply special rates in case of extraordinary supply in regard to electrical loading, conditions, location etc. PIIRI IP.RTRFFT LIGHTING Details of charges are available on application to the Board.
