Lawyer's office burgled
• The petty theft of the solicitor's office on Seddon street, Raetihi, netted burglars three pieces of clothing on Frlday night. Raetihi constable Stuart Ngatai said the burglar broke a small window to gain entry to the premises and took two cardigans and a duffle coat. • Two men who ran out of the Kaycee Stores without paying for their purchases were probably surprised when the shop owner gave chase. After receiving the pies and cigarettes they ordered, the pair ran out and along the Parapara Road and into Queen Street. The shop owner lost the men on Queen Street when they split up and ran through other properties. Constable Ngatai believes the men aren't local. One man is described as a Maori, tall, and wearing a black jacket and black jeans. The second man is a tall, blond caucasian, who was wearing a blue nylon jacket and blue jeans. Police want to hear from people who know anything about the incident.
