OHAKUNE VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE members, pictured with their new rescue I wagon - equipped to carry the Brigades rescue equipment including Jaws of Life, I compressors, cutters, lighting equipment etc. The brigade has bought the van because I they ffound loading the equipment onto the fire appliances to attend accidents caused I delays. The equipment also took up too much space so that firemen couldn't ffit! About I
a third of the brigade's call-outs are now to accidents.
