Move to add road to Park
Mangapurua Road Scenic Reserve took one step further towards becoming part of the Whanganui National Park last week when the Taranaki Wanganui Conservation Board voted to ask the Department of Conservation to proceed with the addition. The New Zealand Conservation Authority will consider the matter, and if agreed, the matter would be put to the conservation minister, Dennis Marshall. The Governor General would then be asked to put the final approval on it.
