MCDONOUGH
On Monday 20 July school reports were handed out. This was followed by a parent evening on Wednesday 22 July. This was an opportunity for parents to find out how their son/daughter is progressing at school. From 30 June to 10 July Markus Herewini went on the Spirit of
Adventure. Sailing out from Auckland he went to Motuihe Island, to Kawau Bay, around Little Barrier Island then to Great Barrier Island, to Coromandel through the Waiheke Channel, along Tamaki Strait, then to Waiheke Island, then sailed back to Auckland. "It was everyone's job on board the ship to keep it clean and in good working order and also
to sail it," he said. "The overall trip was quite good and eveyone coped quite well except for rough seas and 6 o'clock swims." Last Thursday 23 July there was an Educational Hui held in the Senior Common Room. The Raupapa of the hui was to look at Maori Education and plan accordingly for the next five years.
