Beaming into the Ruapehu ski region early this winter is Ski FM, and here's the team (so far). Manning the desk is promotions manager Wayne Hay, with (from left at back) creative director Nik Menzies, station manager Mark Thomson and sales manager Tim Harris. In previous years Ski FM has started later, towards the end of July, and finished earlier, at the start of October, but this year the broadcast will run 16 weeks, to Labour Weekend when Mountain FM will take over. Earlier the station suffered intermittent transmission breaks due to a faulty transmission aerial. Mark said these problems have now been overcome.
