An organised riot, but a lot of fun, seemed to be the order of the day on Turoa on Saturday when victims joined in the "Dash for the Stash" no-holds-barred snow race. Competitors negotiated various obstacles, dodging rival teams' 'blockers', to reach the finish and the prizes of skis and beer. The only women's team, Michelle MacLennan, Karen Hawke and Nicki Stempa won kudos for finishing (no prizes but) but shocked spectators with their tactics. Photo by Snow Snaps
