Dene O'Kane to show skills at snooker
Dene O'Kane is to show his skills at the Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club on 16 July, starting at 7pm. He will play seven players, four from the Cosmopolitan Club, one from the Waimarino Club, one from the Ohakune Club and one from the National Park Club. Dene will give a 350 start all over. After playing these seven players, Dene will then show some trick shots and hold a coaching school. The players from the Cosmopolitan club to play Dene are Ray Littlewood, Trevor Freder-
icksen, Bert Fredericksen and Wally McFadyen. Members of the Raetihi Cosmopolitan Club have played some good games of Snooker at their annual competitions. The competitions have been played over the last two months and at the finals played on 3 July the winners were Todd Cup winner Trevor Fredericksen, rurmer-up Ray Littlewood; McFadyen Cup winner Des McFadyen, runner-up Lance Langdon; Black and White Cup winners Kevin Lenoel and Wally Mc-
Fadyen, runners-up Noel Lenoel and Mick McDonough; Coleman Cup for the highest break winner Kevin Lenoel. The eight ball competitions for the Phillips Cup, for the singles, and the Binzegger and Drinkwater cup for the doubles will start in the next few weeks. Also starting at the same time is the 'five games' competition. This consists of darts, eight ball, snooker, billiards and table tennis.
