• Waimarino Wines in Goldfinch Street, Ohakune was broken into at 10.15pm Saturday night. Thieves smashed the front door of the shop, and stole six dozen cans of beer. • At 2am Sunday morning thieves smashed the front window of Waimarino Livestock in Seddon Street Raetihi and stole clothing from the window display. The thieves threw a rubbish tin through the window and stole $350-$400 worth of jerseys, shirts and jeans. Shop manager Bernice Frost said it was time the town did something about the petty crime in Raetihi. • At 3.50am Sunday morning thieves smashed a front window with a rubbish tin at Raetihi Pricecutter in Seddon Street The thieves stole a small amount of sweets. The break-in was the 12th time Pricecutter has suffered broken windows since November 1991. • A tandem-wheeled trailer was stolen from Shannon Street in Ohakune on Thursday - Friday. The chocolate-brown coloured trailer, registration 47JXA is being sought by police.
