Waimarino pig hunters thought nothing of the lousy weather on the weekend and set off in search of pigs, because it was for a good cause. Seven pigs caught by
43 hunters in Winstone's forests will be cut up and given to senior citizens in the area. Hunters who caught pigs were: Bob Pittaway
and Allan Piercy 1401b and 401b; Daniel Harvey and Daniel Richards 301b; Bill Doble, Joe Martin and Don Sattler 871b; Robert Hawira and Jason Haitana 1301b;
John Brown, Darren Webb and Kevin Phillips 1041b; Keady Crowly and Peter Dennison 1481b. Carmichael Transport sponsored the event.
