The annual town versus country battle saw the townies win by 528 points to 527. Some good scoring with the seniors: M Steele and T Fredericks jnr came home with 41 points. T Fredericks won on the toss. On 37 points were J Corbett and P Goldfinch. Juniors: P Hansen 37, R Baddley 37, D Williams and S Gray 36 each. Ladies: N Cranston 39, J Martin and B Frost 37 each. Two's were scored by G Whale, N Cranston and M Hays. The senior birdsnest went to T Fredericks jnr. The days event was sponsored by Dempsey Buses and Ohakune Butchery.
