WOl Richard (Dick) i Wixon has been selected( by the national selectors for one of two senior training squads at this years' Lifespan New Zealand Cricket Academy based in Christchurch. The dates for Dick's Training Squad are 25-28

August and the coaches will be Dayle Hadlee, Glenn Turner and John Bracewell. The training programme includes net practices, injury prevention, physical fitness, sports psychology, nutrition, learning correct running techniques and

exposure to successful motivation advice. WOl Wixon has had three years playing for Manuawatu and played for Central Districts against Otago. He first made the Combined Services Team in 1974, the last four years as captain. He is a left arm spin bowler.
