With the May school holidays ended students have buckled down and are now working towards the Mid Year Exams, which commence on 11 June. These exams are a check on the progress of the senior school. Last week was a busy week for the college with Monday morning beginning with an Aid's talk given by Felicia Wilson. This talk was of benefit to all students and teachers as Felicia was able to give information learnt at the Aids Conference in
Auckland last month. Sixth and Seventh Form Physics students had the opportunity to travel to Massey University on a field trip on Tuesday 26 May, to observe experiments and to see how physics is applied to technology. The trip was deemed well worth-while and was enjoyed by all. Violet Carmichael and Karl Triggell along with three exchange students have retumed to school after a term spent in Australia on a Rotary exchange programme which they said proved to be a great learning experience. Adele Barton from Wonthagyi, Clinton Christie from Bourke and Amanda Pollard from
Maitalau will be here for the middle term. Che Wilson has recently returned from a trip to Nepal, where he spent three weeks on a clean-up in the Himalayas. On Saturday 30 May a market day was held at Ruapehu College, with all proceeds going towards the Australian Rugby and Netball tour.
