Included in this programme are parts of the Whanganui National Park, plus scenic reserves and conservation stewardship lands in the Kirkau/Te Maire, Retaruke/Kaitieke and Mangatiti/Ruatiti areas. Hunting will concentrate on goat populations. However any domestic stock encountered in these areas after 1/6/92 may be destroyed, sold or otherwise disposed of as per Section 96 (2) Reserves Act, Section 36 (3) Conservation Act and Section 62 (3) National Parks Act. The Government's Statement of Intent on Special Education details some serious changes to the administration of special education. In particular the reduction of services in rural areas.
