Monday 18 May saw the pennent team of E Rush, S Badley, L Drinkwater, N Winter and D Dieghton beat Marton at Rangitira and bring home the shield for a month. The second round matches of the Toanui Trophy gave the following results: P Mcllroy beat J Taylor, P Mowat beat G Fraser, A Pritt beat D Dieghton, H Cranston beat G Whale, N Cranston beat A Barrett, N Winter beat A Roke. Those who lost their lst round games played lst O'Neil Bisque Bogey won by S Bright 4 up. There were no 2s and P 'Mowat won the raffle.
