College boosts blood bank

Local people are turning into suckers for giving blood, with a new record number of 80 donors turning up at Ruapehu College last week. Pictured making his first deposit for the Wanganui Blood Bank is Mathew Fetzer, with help from Peter Taylor. While the college blood donor day is gaining in numbers, Raetihi's is loosing. Last time just 25 people turned up, with the old regulars choosing to call in to the colfege. Raetihi's blood donor day is tomorrow, from Ilam, if Raetihi people want to take up the challenge and beat the college.
