Scholar aims for PHD
Local scholar JohnMartin Battersby was capped with his honours degree in history. He has also gained a Massey University ViceChancellor's Award scholarship to work on a doctorate, plus another scholarship from the Department of Internal Affairs to study political history in Canberra. Mr Battersby was educated at Ohakune' s convent school, then Ohakune Primary School then the Francis Douglas Memorial College for five years.
