Ohakune bridge

There were six full tables at Bridge on Wednesday April 1 and amongst those people present were Marie Perry and Gerry Cranston from the Taihape Bridge Club. Marie and Gerry were the best perfofmed pair in the North-South direction but after handicapping were relegated to third place. Overall first place went to Jenny Mottram and Bill Te Karu with 61.50% and second place went to Ron Martin and Heather

Cranston with 56.28%. Ron Frew and Brian Eades made sure of first place East-West by being eighteen points ahead of their competition with 62.88%. Second place EastWest went to Rita Kaiwhare and Betty Hammond on 54.48%. Bridge is a funny game and you know you are having a terrible night when you lay your hand down as dummy and your opposition say thankyou and your partner doesn't. I hate it when that happens.
