Bridge

There were twenty-two people at bridge on Wednesday 25 March for the third night of the three-night mixed pairs competition. Amongst those people present was Dennis Ratana, a visitor from Wanganui. Dennis teamed up with Tani Blackburn and between them secured first place north-south , with 56.92% just 0.3% ahead of Fr Bernie Vella and Sandra Eades.

The east-west competition was even closer with the pairing of Les Burns and Jenny Mottram sharing first place with Ron Martin and Sarah Hamlin. Pauline Le Noel and Elaine Goldfinch could have made it a three-way tie but were 0.05% behind on 56.62% The three-night competition was won by Fr Bernie Vella with 177.3% and second place went to Sandra Eades with 168.10%.
