Why not bottle it?

"Ohakune's water supply is going to be the best one in New Zealand in terms of water quality," Ruapehu District engineer Peter Jackson told the community board last week. Mr Bennett said the idea of bottling and selling the water should be looked at. Water user and Waiouru pharmacist Bruce Wilde said the pH and mineral content of the Ohakune water is nearperfect, so the idea could be worth looking at. Board member Bill Peach said selling top quality drinking water was a growing market and the idea should be looked at very seriously. "This is not a frivolous idea, it's an idea that might very well pay for the whole thing (water treatment system)," said Mr Peach.
