Chills Off fund raising starts anew
Waimarino Chills Off will hold their pool party on Saturday 29 February at 5pm at the Raetihi and District Memorial Baths. Raetihi Swimming club will be hosting a swim carnival earlier that day and should be well-finished by the start of the party. Children's activities will take place up until about 7pm, barbecue meals refreshments and snacks will be available. Karaoke entertainment is to be organised by Keith Kui. The Chills Off committee has obtained a special licence to sell wine and cans of beer to adults attending this function. They also have applied to run housie to the Internal Affairs Department and
expect to be operating by April, on Thursday nights. Another fund raiser, the Chills Off stall at the A & P show was well supported. Since the group's public meeting on 29 January 1992 there has been a reshuffle of executive with some new committee members. The new chairperson is Leslie Todd, acting secretary is Shirley McDonough, treasurer and PR is Lance Langdon; and the committee is Keith Kui, Pat Hansen, Angel Rapana, Cathy McLean, Julia Martin, Cath Donaldson, Allan Zohs, Dawn Hinana, Michelle Haugh, Nola McFadyen and Sue Davis. Anyone willing to be on a help list for specific activities, is asked to contact Leslie Todd, 385-4396.
