Summer skiing on Mount Ruapehu has proved a boon for King Country Energy - electricity saies on the mountain were almost double for December and January. General manager Peter Till told the February board meeting the board received an unexpected bonus in that the extra units sold were bought on the spot market at a lesser unit cost than the normal Electricorp charges.
