Rangataua drains work

Following the receipt of a petition from a group of Rangataua residents, a programme of drainage work is to be presented to the Waimarino Community Board this Thursday.

The work would be carried out to alleviate the drainage problems where "in many cases the drains are now lower than the street culvert crossings or vehicle cross-over to property

entrances and consequently these drains now hold water all year round." The total bill for the work is expected to be over $51,000.
